From Coal to Diamond
Life has held me close,
rocked me in its arms for years.
Loss has been hard, broke in like thunder,
stealing pieces of my heart I thought were forever safe.
Every moment and piece of growth from these years
strange, beautiful, and unforgettable
taught me to adapt to the cruelty
even on days where I feel love and loss.
Now I am a diamond
reflecting struggles and triumph alike.
The secret is simple:
No loss arrives without love,
no challenge without reward
Let pain carve you bright
not dark;
a shining diamond, not coal.
